7th Annual BCSFanpoll version, and 14th overall.

But there's already a playoff in real life! Yes, but if 4 is good, then 64 is better! And many people don't think 4 is good enough anyway.

As always, we will stop the voting at kickoff of Army-Navy next Saturday, which is 1 PM Mountain Time due to the inconvenience of that game being a week later. Convert that however you need to to get your time zone.

If you are new, NCAA 14 is used to simulate all the games in the 64-team playoff. I have already spent many hours editing ratings on the rosters that have already undergone many hours of editing during the season to reflect current rosters and current strength. All players who are definitively out of the team's bowl game, or would not be able to play in a bowl game if they had one, are removed from the roster, whether it be because of injury, suspension, intent to transfer, etc. Questionable stays in. This can be changed once the playoff has started if I learn someone is out. Long-term injuries sustained in the simulations will be applied to the future rounds of games, with the assumption that each round takes place one week after the first, despite the fact that I simulate them every few days to keep this from going into February like the NFL playoffs.

How are the 64 teams in the playoff decided? By YOU! And everyone else who chooses to vote. I will tally the votes compiled by the members of the board to decide which 64 teams get the most votes. High and low votes may be thrown out for each team to keep outliers from having too much of an effect, but that has become decreasingly necessary in recent years. The more people vote, the less likely this is needed. Sometimes it is done merely to break ties if there is a tie for the final spot on a seed line.

Voting Rules/Guidelines:
-You vote for 64 teams. In the past I have not had you all put everyone in order, but because of the logjam near the top this particular season and one freak occurrence involving Oklahoma two years ago, I am now going to ask everyone to rank the 64 teams in order. If you want to use the seed lines that's fine, just please let me know if it goes right to left or snakes, etc.

-You may vote for teams with losing records. We have had 8 losing teams in the history of the tournament qualify. If you only wish to vote for 6-6 or better teams, you are welcome but if you think a 5-7 team is better than a 6-6 team, a .500 record is not a requirement.

-Bowl eligibility (or a spot in the actual bowl system) is not a requirement either. It does not matter if a team is ineligible, they are still in if they're one of the 64 best teams, whether it's self-imposed or NCAA. The NCAA has no jurisdiction in the land of December Delirium.

-Conference Champions are automatic. You must vote for all of them: USC, Florida Atlantic, Central Florida, Toledo, Oklahoma, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State and Boise State. The Sun Belt ended in a tie, with no tiebreaker between Troy and Appalachian State.
You may vote for both if you wish obviously, but you are required only to vote for one. Depending on how the voting turns out with these two, I have a plan for handling it.

If you leave someone out, I will probably send you a PM or make a post asking about it. I'm just making sure it wasn't a mistake as those happen quite frequently when shuffling teams around. I do not need you to defend or justify it (in fact, I very much am disinterested in the reasoning for rankings, it's easily my least favorite subject to discuss if I can possibly help it) I just want to make sure it's not an oversight. Usually the top 50 of the total voting is the cutoff as we tend to have a number of unanimous teams vaguely in that range but since the number of unanimous teams has dropped each year, I may up the standard to 40 or so. Do not feel bad if you forget someone, it happens every year. Please try and make a point to check back after you vote in case I send you a PM. Sometimes it's about missing teams, sometimes people put teams twice, etc and if I often never hear back from people and thus I do not count their vote.

In years prior to the 2014 season, locations of the games were fictitious, but now NCAA14 allows you to schedule teams to play at neutral sites, so they are no longer fake. I have no idea how that affects the simulation, but it will be played at the neutral locations that were arbitrarily pre-determined by me.

PM your rankings or post them, just please don't use the thread to debate ranking philosophies with each other. I'd rather not have to sift through it while trying to tally votes.

If you wish to go ahead and vote for the equally important Reverse December Delirium, you may do so here, but I will make a separate thread for that after completion of this tournament. That is for your bottom 8 teams in the country. You must vote for at least one team from the Power 5 conferences as we cannot have the little schools hogging all the money from this competition without sharing it.
